What is a netcast?
Netcasting is the method of distributing multimedia files, such as audio programs or music videos, over the Internet using the RSS or Atom syndication formats, for playback on mobile devices and personal computers.
There are four topics I like to listen too:
- Genealogy
- Digital Photography
- Science
- Technology
- The Genealogy Guys Podcast - Great show produced once a week, great tips.
- The Genealogy Tech Podcast - No shows since August 2006. Technology in genealogy.
- Irish Family Cafe - A new show I have recently subscribed too.
- Dear Myrtle - Produces the occasional netcast, but an excellent genealogist.
- Secrets Of Digital Imaging - An irregular show, but with good tips.
- Tips From The Top Floor - 2006 winner of the Podcast Award for Education.
- The Digital Photography Show - Lots of guest interviews and photo tips.
- Quirks & Quarks - An interesting and informative weekly show by the CBC.
- The Naked Scientists - As above, but a weekly show by the BBC.
- Coolness Roundup - This is a daily and weekly show on new technology and events.
- Cranky Geeks - A weekly show on technology news and events.
- Daily GizWiz - A funny and informative show on new and old gadgets.
- Gmail Podcast - Tips and tricks on using Gmail.
- Geek News Central - A weekly show from Hawaii on technology news and events.
- Mike Tech Show - Thanks to this show I have a 1GB thumb drive full of portable applications.
- net@nite (Formally This Week In Tech) Weekly interviews and stories on technology.
- Security Now - A weekly show on computer security.
- The World Technology - Another weekly tech show by the BBC.

I hope you find some, if not all of these netcasts interesting, informative with useful ways to improve your computing, genealogy, photography or general knowledge.
